The CSA list of the top 100 LSPs worldwide is part of a wider report on the state of the global translation market. It ranks LSPs according to objective criteria such as turnover, staffing levels and number of offices. STP’s 69th place is an eight-place improvement on last year.
STP has branches in London, Whiteley and Stockholm, and employs 92 full-time in-house staff. The company’s turnover was just under GBP 6 million in 2014, a small increase compared to 2013.
Ninety-nine per cent of STP’s income is from LSP clients, and the level of growth the company has achieved with this business model is unmatched by any other provider in the language services industry. STP works for nearly 50 of the top 100 LSPs globally, including 15 of the top 20 in the latest CSA rankings.
“Our strong and improving position is further proof that our business model works for us and our LSP clients,” said Jesper Sandberg, founder and managing director of STP.
“LSPs know that we have the skills and resources to handle large volumes of complex, time-sensitive work. Our trusted reputation in the industry, meanwhile, means we can consistently attract the brightest and most talented translation professionals to the company.”
He added: “I would like to say a huge thank-you to all our clients for their continued loyalty and support. And special thanks must go to our in-house staff and freelance linguists, without whose hard work and dedication none of this progress would have been possible.”
